Neighborhoods

Where the galleries actually are, by district. Each area has its own walking rhythm — plan for a couple of hours per neighborhood.

Chelsea

190+ galleries

The city's largest concentration of galleries, packed into converted warehouses between 10th and 11th Avenues, roughly W 18th to W 29th Street.

Lower East Side

80+ galleries

A denser, younger scene along Orchard, Broome and Eldridge Streets, mixing project spaces with established programs.

Tribeca

40+ galleries

A newer gallery corridor formed as spaces relocated south from Chelsea and SoHo, concentrated around Walker and White Streets.

SoHo

35+ galleries

The historic 1970s-80s gallery district, now mixed with retail, with a handful of spaces still anchoring Wooster and Greene Streets.
